December 14, Rebel Force Radio hosts Jimmy Mac and Jason Swank will be at LT (3:15-5:00) for a pre-opening night The Last Jedi question and answer event. Ask them about Star Wars, Rebel Force Radio, or how they got into podcasting and get psyched for The Last Jedi.
Lion Con February 3-4 update
Board and/or digital game tables:
But I also think we should have Pokemon and Magic game tables running too.
As for role playing games, I’m recruiting a bunch of people to run Dungeons & Dragons.
Re: 8 th Grade Future Freshmen Night
On Tuesday, November 28 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., LTHS will host its annual 8 th Grade Future Freshman Night.
We ask that your club or sport plan to attend. This is a very important event for all clubs, sports and activities, as it is the only opportunity LT has to showcase the wide variety of co-curricular opportunities that we offer before the Class of 2022 starts school at LT. Your participation in this event is indispensably important and greatly appreciated. Each team, club or organization will be assigned a table in the South Campus Fieldhouse, where you can inform our newest students all about your chosen activity. Your table should be manned by at least one adult from your sport or club, plus a couple of students from your group. Tables will be set up for you by 6:00 p.m. Your display should be set up before the Class of 2022 and their parents start to arrive at 7:00 p.m. If your department requires you to locate your club somewhere else in the building, please let us know so that we can direct kids and parents to your location. We have a few recommendations to help attract a crowd and to communicate information in an exciting and descriptive way: Use informational handouts, videos, props, equipment, brochures, pictures, etc. Encourage your students to wear club/activity/athletic uniforms or t-shirts – it’s appealing, and it communicates a sense of pride. If you have AV needs for your display (e.g., television, projector, DVD/VHS player, etc.), please send your request to the Help Desk (helpdesk@lths.net), and they will generate a ticket to ensure that your needs are met. Please do not move AV equipment from your classroom. (Please copy Linda Heilenbach on your request, so that we know to place you near an outlet.) Each team, club or organization will be assigned a table in the South Campus Fieldhouse. If there is another sport or activity that you would like to be next to (e.g., Archery Club with Tech Club), please let Linda know (lheilenbach@lths.net) by that Tuesday morning, and we will do our best to provide you with a map in advance.
